Gorges de la Diosaz, Servoz

The gorge is located down the valley adjacent to the village of Servoz, easily accessible by train or just off the auto-route. There’s a modest entry fee which helps to keep the path maintained, and when you see the walkway bolted to the sides of the gorge you’ll be glad of every penny spent! That said, its not too lofty, and the walk up the gorge is quite safe. The waterfalls get more spectacular, the higher you get, with the turning point being a boulder choke jammed in a stunning narrow gorge.

Chamonix Saturday Market

Every Saturday morning the Place du Mont Blanc is packed with market stalls, selling everything from locally produced cheese and sausages, through to new beds. It’s a great atmosphere, and tasting a few of the delicacies on offer is always a plus!
