The shop is conveniently located by the Grand Montets telepherique in Argentiere, and just a short walk from the apartment. There's an excellent range of equipment available to suit all abilities and sizes, and you can change your skis during the week if you wish.
Book in advance using the online facility, particularly if arriving at a busy time in the season. Alternatively, you can obtain a discount card on arrival at the apartment.
Some clothing is also available for hire. In addition, Sanglard provide a ski locker service so you can leave skis & boots overnight - ideal if you are returning to the Grand Montets the next day.

For most, there's a choice between 2 passes for use in the valley. The Chamonix Le Pass can be used at the Domaine De Balme, Brevent - Flegere and Les Grand Montets (with the exception of the upper part of the mountain above 2765m), as well as the beginner areas in the valley. Price options include 6 days for the price of 5, upgrade at any time, and 50% reduction on the Montenvers - Mer De Glace train.
If you're really going for it then the alternative is the Mont Blanc Unlimted pass. In addition to the above, this can also be used at Les Houches, Courmeyer, the upper part of Les Grand Montets, the Aiguille du Midi and the Montenvers train, plus the Mont Blanc tram.
For full information about the passes and maps of the ski areas visit the Compagnie Du Mont Blanc web site.
Register with the Chamonix Mont Blanc Guest Card - Carte D'Hôte and enjoy lots of benefits throughout the valley such as free public transport and discounts on shopping and entry to visitor attractions and activities. Apartment guests will find this particularly valuable when using the train down to Chamonix, or anywhere between Servoz and Vallorcine.
Ensure that you have adequate insurance for your trip. Check the terms of the "Winter Sports" cover especially if planning to ski off piste. An E111 is useful should you require any medication or treatment whilst in France but will not provide any cover for rescue or recovery from the mountains. You should also ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover the cost of your holiday should you have to cancel.
